Tom Flynn
B.A/B.Comm. LL.B. (UNE)
After initially growing up in Mudgee, Tom commenced studying Law through UNE in 2009 after previously completing a combined Bachelor of Arts/Commerce and working as a Media Buyer in Sydney. He began his career in the legal sector working as a Law Clerk in Tamworth before moving back to Mudgee and being admitted as a solicitor in 2012.
Tom became a Partner in 2016 and his areas of practice are Rural and Residential Conveyancing, Property Law, Wills and Estates, Criminal Law and Commercial Law.
In his life outside of work, Tom enjoys active involvement and volunteering with the local rugby union club and Central West Rugby Union and a variety of other Sports. He also volunteers his time with various community organisations having been a presenter through the PCYC for the Traffic Offenders Intervention Program and a board member of Lifeskills Plus for five years.
Simon Flynn
B.Bus. LL.B. (UNE)
Simon was awarded a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Agribusiness) in 2013.
Prior to commencing at Flynns in 2018 he worked in private practice in Forbes for a number of years and had an interest in farming.
Simon practices in all areas of Criminal and Traffic Law, Rural and Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Estate Administration, Succession Planning and Litigation (including Personal Injury and Medical Negligence).
For all matters he travels throughout NSW, in particular the Central West and Rural NSW.
His aim with all matters, in particular his Criminal practice, is to simplify often complex matters for clients in an approachable and relatable manner.
Throughout his career he has been appointed on a number of Legal Aid Criminal Panels and still occasionally assists the Legal Aid Commission on a backup duty basis in regional towns throughout Central NSW.
Working in rural areas where client and community resources can often be limited, Simon has developed a resourceful and practical approach to problem solving across all areas of his practice.
For matters requiring a degree of specialisation Simon routinely briefs a range of barristers having developed strong personal and professional relationships in this respect across all areas of his practice.
This website previously mentioned his interest in all sports, in particular golf, tennis, rugby, and waterskiing when away from the office. He now golfs when he can and enjoys time chasing his young family around on their scooters or bikes.
Stephen Flynn

Steve has been a Solicitor for over forty years and is very much an “all rounder”. Starting off in Sydney in Industrial Law, he became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury and has practiced extensively in Criminal Law.
Moving to Mudgee, he has added Conveyancing, Small Business and Wills and Estates to his repertoire. Having appeared in almost every legal jurisdiction over the years, Steve has built a broad range of contacts and has mentored many young lawyers and students. Steve is a Director on a number of Boards for local financial and other institutions.
Helen Pegg
BE (UNSW) LLB (UNE)
Helen practices in Wills & Estates, Property Law, Conveyancing, Commercial Law, Renewable Energy & Mining related Contract Law, and Land Acquisition.
With a background in engineering, Helen has a particular interest in helping landowners navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by Renewable Energy Zones throughout NSW. Helen routinely provides advice to landowners dealing with wind farm, solar farm or battery storage developers, as well as to landowners dealing with the acquisition of their land by EnergyCo.
Helen has lived and worked in a variety of rural and regional towns across NSW and Queensland.
